Dr Sketchy's Anti-Art school

This is my most favourite. Finally, I was just getting into a rhythm (after almost 3 hours) & then we had to wrap it up.

The two lovely ladies posing together.

The competition of the day entailed a Christmas themed drawing. I was lucky enough to win free tickets to see the red hot Red Door Burlesque show. As expected, it was full of tassels, sparkles and sexy music. Marvellous.

Getting warmer.

Miss HoneyPot

Wow! I've never quite experienced a drawing class like this! It's been such a long time since I've done any life drawing and I can really notice it, but it was so great to get back into it. The last time I had the pleasure was in 2008 as part of our study curriculum. Unfortunately they discontinued the life drawing component in our second year which is such a shame. I think it's such a valuable skill to upkeep and enhances any visual artist's technique. These images are from the start of the session, warming up & getting a feel for the form & fluidity.

Miss HoneyPot performed her new roller skate routine with the help of a hula hoop...

Miss Peachy Keen

Last week I attend the revered Dr Sketchy's life drawing class. I've been hanging out to go for a long time and finally made the dream a reality. Yes, it was all I hoped for and so much more. We were treated to the burlesque delights of Miss PeachyKeen & Miss HoneyPot.

Antonia, those pictures are gorgeous! I was just thinking this morning that it's been ages since I've done a life drawing class -- the burlesque girls make a WAY more interesting subject than boring naked people anyway!
